Bits and Bites

Lots of news and info today, but first, something fun...

Have you heard of Wordle?  You can enter your blog or website URL and Wordle makes it into artwork using the frequently used words from your site.  Fun!

If you like the online BLEEDER series, they now have a FaceBook page.  Also on October 3rd, a vampire-themed costume party/fundraiser for BLEEDER will be held in a creepy warehouse in Philadelphia.  Check the FaceBook page for info.  Episode 2 of the series should be available online by the end of November.

Don't forget the Vampire Film Festival in New Orleans October 23rd.  Details at www.vampirefilmfestival.com

Two of my favorite things, the French and vampires, are combined in this November DVD release, Vampire Party.
When the French make a horror/gore comedy, you know things are going to get extremely rude! Best friends and hardcore partiers Sam, Alice and Prune have scored invitations to Medici Night , the legendary VIP bash held every year at a remote castle. But when they discover that this wild party is being thrown by an elite race of blood-crazed vampires, they ll have to stake, stab, slice, bludgeon and blast their way out of a soiree where the hosts are thirsty and the bar is now open. Is it in bad taste to massacre a horde of undead guests even if they are a total pain in the neck? Tchéky Karyo of BAD BOYS fame stars in this sex, blood and rock & roll blowout featuring music by Eagles Of Death Metal, Goldfrapp, The Magic Numbers, Benjamin Diamond, Scratch Massive, Ghostcat and more.

MTV will continue testing multi-platform show distribution this week when it debuts a short-form limited series,Valemont, on MTV, MTV.com and Verizon Wireless's V Cast mobile platform.

For six weeks beginning Sept. 29, a two-and-a-half-minute episode from the series - which follows a high school girl looking for clues about her brother's mysterious disappearance from the prestigious Valemont College - will appear ahead of The Hills and after The City. After the first 12 episodes run on MTV, the remaining 23 Valemont episodes will premiere weekly on MTV.com and series sponsor Verizon Wireless's V Cast.

Just a reminder that Bite Club is currently reading THE MAMMOTH BOOK OF VAMPIRE ROMANCE 2.  If you're reading it, stop by and become a Bite Club minion!

I'm not creative when it comes to cooking, but these cookies look too adorable.  Make some for your Halloween Party!  Click here for recipe.

VIZ Media, one of the entertainment industry’s most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies, has announced that it has acquired the domestic TV, Home Entertainment, Streaming, DTO, and merchandising rights to the hit VAMPIRE KNIGHT animated series.
With this license VIZ Media will hold the rights to VAMPIRE KNIGHT for television (including IPTV and VOD) and Home Video (all platforms including Blu-ray), streaming, DTO and merchandising (including digital merchandise and mobile).

VAMPIRE KNIGHT is based on the best-selling gothic-romance manga series created by Matsuri Hino. Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, protecting the Day Class from the Academy’s dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires!

Hi Michele :)
Thanks for the great post.
Those cookies look like they can bite back.
:)
Lots of great vampire news.
I hope that the movie does justice to the Cirque novels.
All the best,

Wordle is fun - try it with one of your WIPs!

Vampire Party reminds me of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Let's do the time warp again !!!
