Some Angels are Fallen... Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

As Becca Fitzpatrick said in an interview at bn.com, Patch is the ultimate bad boy. Nora is the girl who always has it together until she meets Patch. He seems to pop up everywhere and she can't figure out how he knows what he does about her life. He calls her Angel, but what exactly is he? What does he want with Nora? She won't give up searching for answers... Why does he have a V-shaped scar on his back? Could he really be a fallen angel? He seems to have come to school because of her and she is even stuck being biology lab partners with him instead of her best friend Vee. And that's the least of her problems. Nora doesn't know what Patch wants from her, but she's determined to find out, no matter the cost...

Hush, Hush is a darkly angelic read, as the reader is trying to solve the mysteries along the way. Including, who Patch is, dark or angel? The cover alone is amazing! It was written for young adults, but I think most ages would enjoy it. I daresay anything else, but you can read a Free Excerpt of Hush, Hush that I found on bn.com for more. Also, Crescendo, the next book is due out November 16, 2010. I thought I heard it was a prequel, but the author's website says sequel, so I am saying "next" book. Either way, I am looking forward to reading it! For lack of fangs, I will take feathers, this is a great read.

For more fun and information visit Becca Fitzpatrick's website . She has a great Hush, Hush Playlist. One song in particular really sets the mood of the book and continues angel week... Have a listen, and a great rest of the week!

A bit more from your YA contributor: I struggled with feeling like I was saying too much and yet not enough on this one! I'm not one for spoilers. There is more to the story, but you'll have to read it to find out.... If you have questions though let me know and I'd be happy to discuss! =]

If you read it, what did you think? Are there other YA books for Angel week out there you liked?

Have a great day!

this book is so exciting to read it because you think that it is something related with bad thing but the romance comes to the history and it makes more interesting.
