VampBash 2010

It's here! Our second annual VampBash has arrived!  It's a way to say 'thank you' to our readers by blitzing you with prizes all week, and featuring authors with new vampire releases.  We raided the VampChix vault of ARCs and prize books and have tons to give away, so be sure and stop in every day.  Most books are new or advance readers copies (which may have been read once for review), unless otherwise stated.  You can qualify to win a prize by commenting on that day's post (unless otherwise directed). Comment every day to increase your chances to win. Tell us what you're reading lately, or if you've read any of the books by the featured authors. Winners from all days will all be announced next Sunday on Halloween!

So let's start things off with Emma Holly's latest release, DEVIL AT MIDNIGHT (due in stores Nov 2nd, but you might find it sooner!)
Mercenary captain Christian Durand has always protected his men from his power-mad father. When a ghost appears to offer comfort, he thinks the strain has pushed him over the edge. The specter says she’s his friend from another life—a tale the cynical soldier finds difficult to believe.

Grace Gladwell has her own experience with abusive fathers. Thanks to an accident with hers, one moment she's in 1950s America and the next  in 1460s Switzerland, trying to convince a medieval soldier that she's neither a figment of his imagination nor an imp from Hell!

To read an excerpt from Devil At Midnight click here!
Find Emma on Facebook!

And guess what?  One lucky commenter will win the entire Fitz Clare Chronicles trilogy from Emma Holly!  [This particular giveaway is US residents only; please state US in the comments if you'd like to qualify for the prize.]

More fun prizes you can win simply by commenting (open worldwide):

Neil Gaiman's TWO PLAYS FOR VOICES.  This is an audio CD which was a sample, so has been listened to once, but in perfect shape!

Michele Hauf's HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND (2 copies; autographed)  An arranged marriage between a werewolf and a vampire.

There will be blood.
She may resist his bite, but she can't resist his charms...
Werewolf princess Blu Masterson won't allow her seductive vampire husband to consummate their marriage with his bite, marking her forever. Alone in a secluded estate with her sworn enemy, Blu curses the marriage arranged to bring their rival nations together, especially since Creed Saint-Pierre calls out to her most feral desires.
When Blu uncovers her pack's secret plot to destroy the vampire nation—and Creed—she is forced to confront her growing feelings for her sexy undead husband. Will she choose the only life she's ever known or accept his vampire bite?

Marta Acosta's BRIDE OF CASA DRACULA  Marrying into a vampire family is tough, as Milagro De Los Santos learns in this charmingly goofy marriage of chick lit and the supernatural. Milagro, having been infected with vampire blood, is now engaged to her beloved undead beau, Oswald Grant, but the nuptial-planning hits a hitch when the rules committee of the vampire council demands that she renounce her citizenship. Not only does hot-blooded Milagro have a battle in store for her when she stands by her American roots, she's beginning to suspect the council of trying to sabotage her wedding: her assigned wedding planner is cruel and devious, her wedding ring goes missing, she nearly dies in a suspicious car accident and there are a few too many "chance" meetings with her seductive vampire ex-boyfriend. All ends well, but not in the way you might think.

Dakota Banks' SACRIFICEA demon's enslaved executioner—a ravager of lives and souls—Maliha Crayne has been reborn, willing to sacrifice her immortality for a chance at freedom . . . and salvation. Now she has an opportunity to prevent the death of thousands—perhaps tens of thousands—to make up for the countless lives she has obliterated over the centuries. To do so, she must locate and destroy an evil cabal of madmen in possession of a weapon of unspeakable power—and survive the immortal assassins who are now after her blood. But it means reverting to the old ways and surrendering once more to the darkness. And if Maliha dies before the mission is accomplished, the hell she once knew will seem like a picnic compared to the eternal torments awaiting her.

Annette Blair's SEX AND THE PSYCHIC WITCH: Introducing the Cartwright sisters-Harmony, Destiny and Storm-triplets and unstoppable seductresses.
Harmony, the buyer for her sisters' vintage curio shop, can read objects and learn of their former owners. Now, a Celtic ring leads her to a castle on the coast of Massachusetts. King Paxton's money-pit is cursed, and he hopes that this leggy blonde can help him find peace with an angry ghost, a disgruntled renovation crew-and his own heart.
