Review: Hungry For You by Lynsay Sands (and a giveaway!)

Alex Willan's story, HUNGRY FOR YOU  is in bookstores now!  The publisher has generously offered a copy of her previous title, BORN TO BITE to one lucky commenter today.  So tell us, do you read the Argeneau vampire series?  What is your favorite story?  [Winner announced next week.]

Visit Lynsay Sands' website, and follow her on Twitter!

Blurb: This vampire has been alone for far too long . . .

As one of the most ancient in the Argeneau clan, Cale Valens has given up on finding a life mate. His friends and family, however, have not. In fact, they believe they've finally found his perfect match. Getting them together, however, requires one little white lie . . .

Alexandra Willan is in a panic. Her restaurant is due to open in two weeks, but her chef just walked out. Then a highly recommended replacement arrives, an impossibly handsome culinary genius who sends electric tingles racing through her body . . .

Except he can't cook. In fact, Cale hasn't eaten real food in two thousand years. Yet he's determined to prove to Alex his prowess in the kitchen . . . and elsewhere. Because never has he hungered so for any mortal woman. And not just for a taste of her, but for the whole delicious feast!

Review:

Hungry For You matches up Alex, the last of Sam's sisters, and this trio was probably my favorite to follow because each woman has very real issues but they never come across as shrinking violets. The Willan sisters are smart, capable women that do not appreciate deception so each male must work really hard to convince their mate that these relationships are true. It's all a delicate balancing act.

Cale is a new favorite from the vast Argeneau clan. He's from Europe and manages Valen Industries, a company that is similar to Argeneau Enterprises only based in Spain, Italy, and France. I liked him so much mainly because he wasn't the typical Alpha male and those more mild qualities made him irresistible. Cale tries very hard to be honest with Alex from the start so he gives her as much info as possible, all with a reasonable amount of truth, in hopes that she will forgive him when the lifemate issue arises.

I love all the quick thinking and creativity that goes into hiding the true nature of those involved in the Argeneau world. At book 14 in a long running series it would be easy to just rehash the usual details but (somehow) each book still feels exciting and fresh. Every romance has an element fun and the interaction between potential couples is always full of passion...and watching (or reading) events unfold never fails to entertain. The mythology of nanos, and how they work within the body, goes beyond imagination and makes this vampire world one that is truly innovative.

Other books in the series can be found here.

Do I read this serie? Are you serious, Of course I do. I LOVE vampires and the Argeneau are fabulous!!! Haven't read them all but so far Lucern is my favorite. He's a romance writer and the stuff that happens in his story is too funny.

Don't enter me - I have the entire series. Both my Mom and I read them. In fact she usually grabs the new ones first. And I even got my boyfriend to listen to the audio version of Single White Vampire. Luceren is still my favorite.

I've read quite a few of the Argeneau series, but still have a few on my TBR shelf. My favorite so far is Single White Vampire. What's not to like about a centuries old vampire intending to write family biographies and having them become best sellers as paranormal romance. Lynsay Sands' books are hilarious, and I love them.

I have read every book of the serise but I have to say my favorite one of the books is Vampire Interruped because it was the first book I read before I relized it was a serise then I went on the hunt to read all the others. I have even read her newest book. I find them good and me wanting more. I wish I could find one of her vampires for my self. Way to go Lynsay Sands! Keep up the good work!

I'm a HUGE fan of Lynsay's vampire series. My favorite is Etienne & Rachel's. The combination sexy computer geek and coroner is made in heaven.

This is a great series. My fave is Single White Vampire because it was the first I read. But my heart goes thumping away whenever Bastian is mentioned.

I follow this series like a squirrel follows after a rolling nut, and Hungry For You is on my Christmas list. Sorry, but I scrolled right on past the review. I want no spoilers. My favorite, hmmm, that would have to be The Rogue Hunter, hands down-my absolute favorite. I think it's funny, and sexy. I've re-read it quite a few times.

I've had this series on my TBR pile ever since it first started way back when. I still haven't gotten around to reading these books (I'm almost ashamed to admit) but they all sound really good and can't wait until I get me butt in gear and read about these hot vampires!
