Forever Vampire

Forever Vampire arrives in bookstores tomorrow!  I'm super excited about this book release because the hero is my favorite so far in my vast world of Beautiful Creatures.  Vaillant is a vampire who grew up in Faery and has never known vampires in the mortal realm until he is banished from Faery and is forced to face the world he should have been living in all his life.  He's got a penchant for Johnny Cash, fast cars (though he never actually learned how to drive) and green mamba snakes.  He feels pretty sure he'll never fall for a vampiress—until he meets Lyric Santiago.
For more information about Forever Vampire visit my website, and also read the first two chapters there.

Here's the book trailer to whet your appetite.  Drop me a note and let me know if you see Forever Vampire in bookstores, and if you've read it!

I have a couple copies of Forever Vampire to give away (along with a copy of either Seducing the Vampire or Her Vampire Husband; it'll be a surprise to the winners which one they get).  So let's talk about all those blood spatters on the cover of this book.  Too much?  A definite clue there are vamps inside (as if the title didn't give that away)? Save it for horror books?  Or, you like it just fine?  I'll chose a few winners from the comments and announce later this week!

The blood spatters are fine the way they are because they create a sort of border and focus on the couple while not overtaking the whole thing.

Wee, I love the cover! When I see a cover with a hot man and a beautiful woman - especially when that hot man is bending toward the woman's neck =P - the first thing that goes through my mind is that the book must be about vampires. I know it sounds a little bit paranormal romantic maniac, but that's me xD And about the blood splatters... I love them, too :) My favourite colour is red :)
And thank you for the chance to win :) :)

The blood splatters actually really caught my eye even before reading the post. I love them! They give this eerie feeling to it and a feeling that yes, there is more to this book than just a hot couple and romance. Awesome!(though I admit I would have liked it even more if the splatters hadn't 'touched' her face).

Splatter is good, dripping from the mouth is bad. I love that you know what your getting...a vampire read.

GOod to see that most like all the blood spatters. Honestly, I got the cover and I thought it was overkill. Like someone in the art dept. had a Photoshop splatter button and just went crazy with it. :-) But if you all like it...

I do love the guy they picked to represent Vail and the woman is beautiful too.

I like the cover just the way it is. I like how the blood spatters are position on the cover. I can't wait to read this story.

@Michele The cover looks great just the way it is, no overkill, so don't worry about it!:)) And I really like the models they picked too.
I can't wait to read the book!:D

I suppose they are so artistically spattered that they don't really scream "blood". Frankly, I like the look, it gives it an edge.

I like the blood spatters because it's just enough but not too much and it frames the couple nicely!

I also like the cover models on the cover!

I can't wait to read this story!

I like the blood splatters. They frame the characters and it really sets of the heroine's lipstick.

Thanks,

I like the splatter.Like others have said it frames the book and matches the woman's lips. With the people being B&W it makes the cover pop.I also like the title in yellow.

The splatters are ok, but I like them a bit more muted and darker. Perhaps a bit more asymmetrical. *big grin*

I don't mind the blood spatter at all. It shouldn't only be used for horror novels. Whether you are reading a romance or not, vampires are meant to be dangerous creatures. I think the blood spatter on the cover illustrates that nicely.

Congrats on your release! Sounds like a great book! Like someone else said, I would have liked it better if the splatters didn't touch the woman's face. I think I would have made the blood darker instead of so bright - but then again, I'm wanting to design book covers so I think I spend too much time looking at covers and thinking what I would do differently :) I do like how the splatters act as a frame, and the models are gorgeous! I also like the font used for the name of the book, though I would have moved your name down away from the model's face. Ok, I'll stop now, lol... Overall, I like the cover! Anyway, congrats again :)

Para Opinion, you sound just like me when I get a new cover. I immediately start figuring what I would have done differently. And most definitely I would have made the title bigger to use up all the space on the bottom, because there's nothing in the picture that is important down there.

i love all the blood on there. yes a definite clue it is about vamps. no don't save it for the horror books. i love how it makes you wonder what all the blood is about and i can't wait to read this book.

I don't mind the blood splatter but to be honest on this cover the blood splatter didn't look like blood splatter to me. Maybe because it's a little more on the pink side instead of red? However the effect is still nice.

The blood splatter is fine--a perfect medium; not too much and not scarce. While the color does match the lipstick, I actually think it's a little too pink-tinted (on my computer anyway). The red color in the "Forever Vampire" title of the blog is closer.

I like the cover. The blood splatters work great for your book.

I don't mind a little blood splatter at all. As hot as they are, sometimes we have to be reminded that they are still vampires. As long as it's not all over the vampire's face and mouth. Nothing worse than a vamp with lousy table manners!
