Free Book Bonanza!

If you stayed at home to avoid Black Friday and decided to do a little blog crawling instead, today is your lucky day.  And all weekend!  I've dug through the VampChix stocks of review copies and have a huge pile to give away.  (Most books we receive more than one copy or just don't have time to review them all.  Or sometimes we have giveaways and people don't claim their prizes within two weeks, so we have to give the book away again.)  And what do you have to do to win?  Just comment!  Leave us a love note, or let us know what you did buy today, or that you avoided the pepper spray and stayed at home.  We'll announce winners next Tuesday, so enter today through Monday! Open to everyone, no matter where you live.

Here are the prizes you may win (1 per person unless a set):

FROM RUSSIA WITH BLOOD by Michael Lee (downloadable copy)
ECSTASY UNTAMED by Pamela Palmer
THE WATERS RISING by Sheri S. Tepper
JANE AND THE DAMNED by Janet Mullany
PLAYING WITH FIRE by Michele Hauf (download; not avail until Dec 1st)
THE INHERITANCE & OTHER STORIES by Robin Hobb/Megan Lindholm
THIRTEEN YEARS LATER by Jasper Kent (ARC copy)
EVOLVE TWO edited by Nancy Kilpatrick
EXTINCTION AGENDA by Marcus Pelegrimas
PALE DEMON by Kim Harrison
Random copies of A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS will be mailed with some prizes.

Be sure to stop in on Tuesday to see if you've won!  We can't send you your prize if we don't hear from you to get your address.  And guess what?  We do try to contact you if you don't contact us, but if you don't have an email in your profile, well then.  Two weeks, people!  And then the prize goes back in the pile for the next bonanza.  ;-)

I am International so didn't even have to think about Black Friday.

Don't know if I am glad or envious about that !

Anyway, THE INHERITANCE & OTHER STORIES by Robin Hobb/Megan Lindholm caught my eye and as I love her novels I would dearly like to get this collection of short stories.

I have never experienced
Black Friday but am very curious. This year, the decision was taking out of my hands because I was on duty for work.

After reading all the negative stuff online about Black Friday I am glad I don't live in the USA. Mind you, as my preffered method of shopping for anything other than groceries, is to use the internet maybe I wouldn't get caught by Black Friday anyway :D

Tasty! I'd love to win any of them. Had a chance to work 8 hours on Black Friday--have been out of work for two months looking for job, so I jumped on that work day.
Happy holidays to all!

Wow!! This sure beats standing in line getting beat up, pepper-sprayed, shoved, cold, hungry, tired, etc ;D

We NEVER do the Black Friday thing, tho. I think it takes a lot of the fun & joy out of the season, at least for me.

Thank you oodles for the EPIC giveaway!!

I did the Black Friday expiernece once, and decided I was a better Internet shopper. I do love Christmas shopping though, it's so easy to get carried away =)

AWESOME giveaway! I usually do the Black Friday shopping but this year I decided to do it all online (in protest of stores opening at midnight) and it worked better than I thought! No more standing in line! No more threats of violence from random strangers! *happydance*

And then I go blog hopping and find a wonderful and generous giveaway! Score! :)

Having a great weekend hope you are too.

Passed on all of the shopping crowds on Black Friday and did Disney World with son, his GF, her parents, and their two LITTLE ones. It was fun, but still a bit crowded. Then started the long trip back to Texas on Saturday, after lunch. Hope everyone's holidays were as wonderful as ours.

Living in Oz so was very upset I couldn't be a part of black Friday. Sounds very spooky though doesn't it "black friday". Do the vamps also come out?

Cylver said...

I work in retail, so the last thing I want to do on Black Friday is go shopping. Especially after work!
So, after a fun-filled day at the store, I went home, made hot chocolate, and enjoyed my evening, and didn't buy a thing!

We avoid the typical Black Friday, but I do like to drive by the parking lots and lines of people waiting to get in and crash into each other with carts.

We started our own tradition a few years ago. We go over to a nearby town and shop at an artists' co-op called pARTiculars. We get our decorations to add to our collection and to give as gifts. Then we go next door to an antique store to meander. Then off to one of our favorite nurseries and pick out our Christmas tree.

I went into work that night and placed a book order to High Crimes Mystery Bookshop.

I like to shop, just don't like the crowds and I'd rather shop local.
