Upcoming YA Reads!

Just a few upcoming YA vampy & bitey reads!

Rachel Caine has two Morganville Vampires books coming out, one in April and one in May! So exciting, love this series very much and the last one was awesome so I can't wait to see what is in store for us next!

Last Breath (#11) From Goodreads:
With her boss preoccupied researching the Founder Houses in Morganville, student Claire Danvers is left to her own devices when she learns that three vampires have vanished without a trace. She soon discovers that the last person seen with one of the missing vampires is someone new to town-a mysterious individual named Magnus. After an uneasy encounter with Morganville's latest resident, Claire is certain Magnus isn't merely human. But is he a vampire-or something else entirely?

 Black Dawn (#12) From Goodreads:
In Last Breath, the rain brought a new and dire threat to Morganville and its vampires... their ancient enemies, the draug. Now, the vampires are fighting a losing war, and it will fall to the residents of the Glass House: Michael, Eve, Shane and Claire, to take the fight to an enemy who threatens to destroy the town, forever.
Lovers of Morganville, rejoice: Black Dawn takes the intrigue, romance and nail-biting suspense of the series to its highest level yet!

The Mortal Instruments, book 5, City of Lost Souls I probably one of the ones I'm looking forward to most! Though this entire list of books is enticing. The last book ended quite dramatically and I can't wait for more. Especially more Jace and Clary. Yay!

From Goodreads:
The demon Lilith has been destroyed and Jace has been freed from her captivity. But when the Shadowhunters arrive to rescue him, they find only blood and broken glass. Not only is the boy Clary loves missing–but so is the boy she hates, Sebastian, the son of her father Valentine: a son determined to succeed where their father failed, and bring the Shadowhunters to their knees. No magic the Clave can summon can locate either boy, but Jace cannot stay away—not from Clary. When they meet again Clary discovers the horror Lilith’s dying magic has wrought—Jace is no longer the boy she loved. He and Sebastian are now bound to each other, and Jace has become what he most feared: a true servant of Valentine’s evil. The Clave is determined to destroy Sebastian, but there is no way to harm one boy without destroying the other. Will the Shadowhunters hesitate to kill one of their own? Only a small band of Clary and Jace’s friends and family believe that Jace can still be saved — and that the fate of the Shadowhunters’ future may hinge on that salvation. They must defy the Clave and strike out on their own. Alec, Magnus, Simon and Isabelle must work together to save Jace: bargaining with the sinister Faerie Queen, contemplating deals with demons, and turning at last to the Iron Sisters, the reclusive and merciless weapons makers for the Shadowhunters, who tell them that no weapon on this earth can sever the bond between Sebastian and Jace. Their only chance of cutting Jace free is to challenge Heaven and Hell — a risk that could claim any, or all, of their lives. And they must do it without Clary. For Clary has gone into the heart of darkness, to play a dangerous game utterly alone. The price of losing the game is not just her own life, but Jace’s soul. She’s willing to do anything for Jace, but can she even still trust him? Or is he truly lost? What price is too high to pay, even for love? Darkness threatens to claim the Shadowhunters in the harrowing fifth book of the Mortal Instruments series.
The 2nd in The Hunters series of The Vampire Diaries, Moonsong just came out this month in March! I actually just picked up Vol. 1, so I still have to get this one.  LJ Smith just keeps them coming!  With The Vampire Diaries and I think I even saw some more Secret Circle.  So I'm posting this description without reading it since I'm not even caught up! LOL

From Goodreads:
Evil never dies. . . .
After escaping the horrors of the Dark Dimension, Elena can′t wait to attend Dalcrest College, the beautiful ivy-covered campus where her parents met. Life with Stefan is better than ever, and even Damon seems genuinely changed and is getting along with everyone. But moving away from Fell′s Church doesn′t mean she and her friends are free from danger. When students start to disappear from campus, suddenly every new acquaintance is a potential enemy.
Then Elena uncovers a long-hidden secret, one that shocks her to the core, and realizes tragedy may be unavoidable.

Immortal Hearts, #9 in the Vampire Kisses series is another long awaited one for me. Ellen Schrieber releases about a book a year per series so it has been a year since we were last in Dullsville with Raven and her vampire boyfriend & friends.

From B&N:
Athena "Stormy" Sterling is coming to Dullsville, and Raven is both excited and panicked in anticipation of Alexander's little sister's visit. Alexander tells Raven that she and his sister have a lot in common, but can the mini-Raven be everything she hopes for? Alexander calls her Stormy for a reason.Stormy's visit stirs up the perfect immortal whirlwind. Raven is forced to take a good look at what it would really mean to be a vampire in the Sterling family, aside from some of the things she already loves, like shunning the sun and sleeping in a coffin with Alexander. When Raven compares her life with Stormy's, she can see that it's not all starry ...
This one, Lost in Time, has been out a few months, it's part of the Blue Bloods vampire novels and I am reading it now. Stay tuned for a review. Apparently this is #6 in the series, the last one is shown as #5.5 on Goodreads, it was a novella.

Lost in Time Goodreads says:
After their beautiful yet brief bonding ceremony in Italy, Schuyler Van Alen and Jack Force are forced to separate. To fulfill the Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler travels to Alexandria to search for Catherine of Siena and the Gate of Promise. But Schuyler quickly discovers that everything she believed about the Gate to be wrong. Meanwhile, Jack makes the difficult decision to return to New York to face his twin and former bondmate, Mimi. But instead of a bitter reunion, he is faced with a choice for which there is no good option.
Mimi, with a most unexpected travel companion in Oliver Hazard-Perry, jets off to Egypt, too, to search for Kingsley Martin, her long lost love. With all roads leading to Hell, Mimi learns that not all love stories have happy endings. But she'll have to put her own feelings aside if she's going to save her crumbling Coven.
Packed with heartache, twists, and vampiric folklore, Lost in Time is sure to satisfy hungry fans' cravings for more Blue Bloods adventure.

And last but certainly not least... The Savage Grace! It just came out this week. It is the 3rd in The Dark Divine series, which I LOVE. And it has things with teeth!!!  I don't want to say too much if you haven't read the first one, because it has a lot of suspense in it, but the series is definitely worth reading and the Bite Club readers would love it if they haven't already read it. :)

I'll just add this last line from Goodreads so as not to give away everything else:
The final installment in The Dark Divine trilogy brings Daniel and Grace's love story to a breathtaking conclusion.
I can't wait to read this one as well! I just got it in the mail this week!

Well, I'm sure there are others out and coming out as well. These are just a handful of anticipated YA vamp and bitey reads! What are you reading?

Happy reading!
~Shauna
