Can't Stop the Serenity

I'm crazy excited to attend this year's showing of Serenity at the Fox Theatre here in Tucson! I'm turning it into a family event and taking Flyboy and the kids because not only is it a great movie, it's for an even greater cause. What is Can't Stop the Serenity, you ask? According to their website, (which you can access here):

Can’t Stop the Serenity (CSTS) is a unique opportunity to indulge your geeky side while doing some good! Since 2006, fans have organized screenings of Joss Whedon's Serenity to raise funds and awareness to support Equality Now in their work for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women around the world. Join us as we aim to misbehave for a good cause!

So if you live in the Tucson area and need something cool to do this Saturday, or you just love Nathan Fillion, join the Arizona Browncoats for a double feature of The Dr. Horrible Sing Along Blog and Serenity at the historic Fox Theatre, which happens to be the only example of Southwestern Art Deco on the planet. Can't attend this weekend? Consider donating to one of these wonderful organizations instead!

Favorite quotes time!

"Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next?"

"Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up."

"I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it."
