James R. Tuck and some books I want to read

It's no secret that I groove on the Deacon Chalk series by James R. Tuck, so I was totally bummed to find out that Kensington is no longer publishing the series. Are they nuts? Seriously, this is one of the best horror/urban fantasy type books out there, with vivid descriptions and plenty of blood and guts, plus a bit of romance and friendship added in to show the emotional side. I hate when publishers and the demands of the business end a series before its time, especially when I've taken the time to invest myself in the characters and all that goes on within the world.

Fear not, readers! I've got a few updates on new books by James R. Tuck, as well as information about the future of Deacon Chalk. So here's the good news:

*It appears that news of his death were greatly exaggerated and Deacon Chalk will continue!! The next book will be independently pubbed, so its even more important we support these books or they might disappear forever, and will be titled Silk and Scales. This should be out soon.
*Two new books are available now with artwork done by the author himself, Hired Gun and That Way Lies Madness.
*Blood and Bullets (Deacon book 1) is now available on Audible with narration by Jim Beaver, Bobby from Supernatural. How cool is that?
*A new series will begin in 2014 called Champions of Hollow Earth (published by Pro Se Press) that will be 4 short pulp style books that will be released quarterly, which means not a lot of waiting between books.
