Phoenix Comicon is Coming Soon!

Phoenix Comicon is approaching! This is one of those events that, even if you don't live in this area, you might want to know about. This is one of the largest comicons in the country, and so it attracts some big names from TV and film, comics, books, and the art world. This is something you should COME to Phoenix for.

The current guest list is already super-exciting and more announcements are rolling in every day.

3 of my favorite man-crushes will be there- Bruce Campbell,
John Barrowman, and Nathan Fillion!

I must have a thing for a strong chin, cause look at these guys!
Other TV and film guests include:  Mark Sheppard, Eliza Dushku, Brian Posehn, John Rhys-Davies, John Ratzenberger, Walter Jones, David Yost, and Austin St. John.
And big news in the comic world- Stan Lee is scheduled to appear on Sunday!

Excelsior!!

There are 59 comic book guests scheduled, in fact. So there should be someone to excite any comic lover.

Oh, and there are also 59 authors currently scheduled. Holy cow! Some of the names include popular authors here at Bite Club.

Charlaine Harris of Sookie Stackhouse fame, David Wellington who is known for monster novels (reviewed here) and Delilah Dawson, whose Blud series we love are just some of the people you can expect to see.

View the total author list here.

What else is there to come for? A comedy show, a geek prom, a Doctor Who party,  costume contests, a Minecraft party, a Peter Pan themed pool party, Rocky Horror Picture Show screenings, a steampunk ball, a nerdy burlesque show (18+ of course), a zombie beauty pageant, and photo ops and signings by all of your favorite guests! And then, of course, any comicon is going to have tons and tons of awesome cosplayers, and Phoenix is no exception. One of my favorite things is just walking around the exhibitor hall and people-watching and showing off my own cosplay. (I am doing Osgood from the Doctor Who 50th anniversary show.)
Nerdy fangirl...not much of a stretch for me. Haha.

So, make your plans soon. Hotels are filling up!
The con is June 5-8 at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 North 3rd Street
Phoenix, AZ 85004 (602) 262-6225
